Summary

Procedure

  1. Use an online video from the links below).
  2. Ensure the volume is set at a safe, moderate level.
  3. Ask participants to sit quietly in a distraction-free environment.
  4. Play the video from the lowest frequency upward, asking participants to raise their hand when they first hear a sound.
  5. Continue through the higher frequencies and have participants indicate when they can no longer hear the tones.
  6. Record each participant’s frequency range and compare results across ages or groups.
